New projects for construction and reconstruction of schools and kindergartens will be started out of funds of about 20 million euros offered by Romania. The subject was discussed today at a meeting in Chisinau with Marcel Răducan, Minister of Regional Development and Construction, and Liviu Dragnea, the Deputy Prime Minister, from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration in Romania.

"We have completed projects with the support of the EU, including Romania. I hope our citizens realize that Moldova has become a building site due to European aspirations and the European course of our country. The EU is a reliable partner, and the EU member states support, including financial support, our country ", specified Marcel Răducan during the meeting.

For his part, Liviu Dragnea, the Deputy Prime Minister, said that the Romanian Government has issued an order by which rules are laid down for the allocation of money for development projects. It has simplified procedures. "We have the maximum aperture to offer necessary support in areas that you'll require. Your traditions are not lost with European integration, and good works are much better than stagnating, "said Liviu Dragnea.

In the meeting, the Ministers also decided to speed up cooperation with Romanian specialists in order to update the legal framework in regional development, territorial planning, urban planning and construction, as well as linking these policies for the creation of a single framework for planning. In this context, Minister Marcel Răducan solicited the Romanian party to transmit free construction Eurocodes in order to harmonize the necessary regulations for designing and executing construction works.

Officials talked about bilateral cooperation in regional development, based on the collaboration agreement signed in Iași during March 2012.
