Information and training for farmers in the South Region

28 February 2014, members of the social network of women working in agriculture in the districts of Cimislia, Basarabeasca, Leova, Cantemir, Căușeni, Ștefan Vodă and Taraclia met for a training seminar.

The South Regional Development Agency in collaboration with the NGO Contact Cahul, organized this finance training seminar. Present at the event were representatives of different businesses and homesteads, working in the agricultural sector, as well as specialists of District Councils. The seminar was moderated by Adrian Cojocaru, an expert at ACED and Mihai Cucereanu, a consultant within the community development program, CONTACT CAHUL. Those present were not only instructed on how to devise a business plan in order to attract funding, but also about the following:

• financing sources and principles activities of the banks;
• financing of projects and technical assistance;
• the ACED (agricultural competitiveness and enterprise development);
• Agroconect.md as a platform for the exchange of knowledge in the field of agriculture.

Participants having met from across the region had the opportunity to exchange experiences, there by finding answers too many questions relating to the management of agriculture.
