Working meeting for organizing and planning of activities within the project "Construction of the Magisterial Aqueduct Leova-Iargara "

For the implementation of the project "Construction of the Magisterial Aqueduct Leova-Iargara" the German Government has allocated 2.5 million euros, which could be invest for building a water supply infrastructure in the District of Leova. In this context, it is necessary to carry out a range of activities, which will require the updating of the District's strategy for Socio-economic development on water supply and sanitation, as well as the elaboration of a feasibility study.

The meeting was attended by the head of the General-Directorate of Regional Development, in the within MRDC, Valerian Bînzaru, District Council President of Leova, Mrs. Efrosinia Grețu, representatives of the South RDA, the District Mayors, experts from GIZ and specialists within the District Council of Leova.

The meeting presented an action plan to collect data by distributing a questionnaire for updating the SSED and the development of a feasibility study.

P.Panuș, representative of the expert team GIZ explained in detail the information required for procedures for completion of the questionnaire and also responded to several questions asked from those present.

Valerian Bînzaru, the Director reiterated that GDRD "activism and the responsible involvement of the District Council of Leova and the city Mayors efficiency depends on developing the necessary strategic documents. The Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, as well as the South RDA will provide the necessary support in order to reduce the elaboration of documents, "specified Valerian Bînzaru.

District Leova, President Mrs. Efrosinia Grețu held to thank those present for their responsiveness, the GIZ team for their support, while the South RDA and MRDC for their collaboration and results.

Starting next week, the process of data collection will commence in accordance with the recommendations made by the experts of GIZ.
