South RDA will sign a collaboration memorandum with South - Muntenia RDA

South Development  Region / October 27, 2014 / A delegation from Romania, Prahova County Council led by Mr. Mircea Cosma, together with South - Muntenia RDA Director, Mr. Liviu Musat performed a working visit to the South RDA.
                         

The meeting was attended by representatives of LPA of the I and II levels of Prahova County Council and South-Muntenia RDA, regional media and South RDA specialists.

In the opening speech, Mr. Mircea Cosma has shown a willingness to collaborate with South RDA, "the regional institution, which should transform Cimișlia into a development center of the entire region. We organized this meeting in order to know the regions from the technical point of view.  We want to share our experience, how to access European funds and how to manage them according to your needs, "said Mircea Cosma.

During the meeting, the South RDA Director, Mrs. Maria Culeșov and Liviu Musat, director of the South-Muntenia RDA, shared their experience of achieving regional development policy. South RDA Director described the identification and implementation of regional development projects, the role and functions of the South RDC (Regional Development Council) and the funding mechanism of the National Regional Development Fund. In turn, Mr. Liviu Dragnea, reported on the status, role and duties of the institution he leads.

The South-Muntenia RDA director said that "through the access to national fund, South RDA has obtained the experience in attracting and managing money; experience that we didn't have, because our institution was created to manage European funds, PHARE - for example."

Finally, representatives of South RDA and South - Muntenia RDA, identified opportunities for collaboration, expansion of relations through signing a memorandum of cooperation between Agencies. In December, representatives of South RDA will undertake a study visit to South Development Region - Muntenia.
