A Monitoring Visit Carried out within the Project " Sustainable Development of the Industrial Park Cahul as a Support Structure for Business of Regional Importance "

On May 30, 2018, Mr. Nicolae Cotruță, specialist in drafting, implementing and monitoring projects at the Regional Development Agency South, carried out a monitoring visit within the project "Sustainable Development of the Industrial Park Cahul as a Support Structure for Business of Regional Importance ". He found that construction works are executed according to the established schedule. At the moment, the general contractor executes the construction of the local aqueduct network. In the near future, the construction of the gas pipeline network will start. The monitoring visit was also attended by the contractor, the technical supervisor and the project beneficiary. They have also discussed about some solutions for the proper implementation of the project.

The project " Sustainable Development of the Industrial Park Cahul as a Support Structure for Business of Regional Importance", implemented by the RDA South, is funded from the National Fund for Regional Development. Its value is 20 861 690 MDL, of which 20 000 000 MDL - given from the NFRD and 861 689 MDL - the contribution of the Cahul District Council. 3 mil MDL have been allocated from the NFRD to carry out the works within this project for the current year.

Creating the Industrial Park in Cahul will have a direct impact on the economic development and increase the industrialization level of the South Region of the country. It is planned to attract direct investments in the region in the amount of almost 103 million MDL and to create at least 440 new jobs till the end of the fifth year of the park's activity.
