On April 10, 2019, the Working Group on Public Procurement from the Regional Development Agency South, met to approve the modifications within the project "Sustainable Development of the Industrial Park Cahul as a Support Structure for Business of Regional Importance".

At the meeting, the subject of additional works to be included and executed within the project financed from the National Fund for Regional Development (3 417 980 MDL), sources allocated for the current year, including the contribution of the Cahul District Council (437,480 MDL), was discussed.

This project is an initiative of the Cahul District Council, which aims to develop the business infrastructure in the region by creating an investment-friendly environment.

The project "Sustainable Development of the Industrial Park Cahul as a Support Structure for Business of Regional Importance" is implemented by the RDA South, financed from the National Fund for Regional Development. The total value of the project is 20 861 690 MDL, 861 690 MDL of which is the contribution of the Cahul district Council.

In 2018, 3 million MDL were allocated in order to carry out the works within the mentioned project.

The establishment of the Cahul Industrial Park will have a direct impact on developing the economy and increasing the industrialization level of the South Region. The new business infrastructure will allow direct investment in the region of about 103 million MDL and will create at least 440 new jobs by the end of the fifth year of activity.
