Today, at the Regional Development Agency South headquarters, is being carried out an evaluation of the offers submitted last week for the public tender for the acquisition of the works under the project "Construction of the Leova-Iargara magistrate aqueduct", financed by the Federal Government of Germany through German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The Working Group on Procurement, headed by Mrs Maria Culeşov, the Director of the RDA South, had a meeting aimed to evaluate administratively, technically and financially the five offers submitted at the public tender organized for the construction of Leova-Iargara aqueduct, by the joint stock companies from Romania " Hidroconstrucția " and "Conest", and the limited liability companies "Polimer Gaz Conducte ", "Izodromgaz" and "Laiola" from the Republic of Moldova.
National and international experts hired by the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ) assist the working group in the tender evaluation procedure for awarding public procurement contracts. Experts are going to deal specifically with the technical evaluation of the bids.
Thus, it is within the competence of the evaluation committee to verify the technical proposals submitted by the bidders in terms of how they meet the minimum requirements of the specifications or the descriptive documentation, to examine the financial proposals submitted by the bidders, to determine unacceptable or non-conforming bids and admissible offers, as well as the winning bid. Finally, the procurement working group is to identify the most economically advantageous tender on the basis of technical quality and price.
The project "Construction of Leova-Iargara aqueduct" is a part from "Modernization of local water supply services (AAC) in Leova district" project. It has a total value of about 3,500,000.00 Euro or over 70 million MDL and is financially supported by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ).
To the new built aqueduct Leova-Iargara, with a length of about 23.0 km, will be connected Leova and Iargara towns; Filipeni, Romanovca, Sărata Nouă, Hanăsăseni Noi and Cupcui villages, with about 23,433 inhabitants.
